This term is Cedar class our focus has been caring for our amazing world. In order to embed this we take it across the different areas of learning. In English our topic books have been focused around God's animals specifically minibeasts. We have also focused on them in Understanding the World and in Expressive Arts and Design. Our minibeast theme has taught us lots about the amazing world we live in and how to be thoughtful to God's creation.
This term the children had the responsibility to look after and grow their own butterflies. They received the butterflies as eggs and watched them go through their lifecycle. The children were mesmerised watching them go through metamorphosis. They truly lived life in all its fullness when learning about each stage and how it serves a different purpose in the life of the insect.
