We have been busy in Blossom

We have had a busy week in Blossom, settling in and getting used to our new routines. 

We love our special room.

In Phonics this week we have focused on the sounds that the letters make. We matched initial sounds to objects and applied our knowledge of letter sounds to segment and blend simple words. 

In Maths we counted carefully and matched amounts to numbers. We also ordered numbers to 20, after finding them around the room. 

In English, we enjoyed the story, Iris and Isaac, a story about two polar bears. The story helped us to explore our values of friendship, kindness and forgiveness.

We were inspired to make a new cosy nest for the polar bears. Our polar bears loved their new home. We used it to warm up the polar bear cubs after setting them free from the frozen ice.
