We just love reading!

In Beech Class, we just love reading and listening to stories! Daily, we take home reading books to read at home, we listen to Mrs Bayliss reading a story book (we're currently enjoying 'Harry The Poisonous Centipede' by Lynne Reid Banks), we use our reading skills in most of our lessons and also develop our reading skills in our Big Book sessions (for example inference and visualisation). This week we've been reading 'Hey You! An empowering celebration of growing up black' by Dapo Adeola. We've really enjoyed this text because its being helping us to live life in all its fullness by explaining that we all should have hopes and dreams and that we have the power to be whatever we want to be!
