Wow, what a fantastic start we have had to Year One! As well as all the children making new friends, it has been such a joy getting to know all of the children in Maple class. We have enjoyed exploring the classroom and starting all of our new learning, truly showing that we are living life in all it's fullness!
During our English lessons we have started working on the story of the Three Little Pigs, we have loved making houses and retelling the story pretending to be the characters. In Maths we have been reinforcing our number formation and counting objects correctly. We have also been matching numerals to quantities. In Science we have started to learn all about our bodies. It was really fun when we drew around a friend. We have liked talking to 'paper Millie' and labelling all the parts of our bodies.
We are all embracing Year One and I know we will continue to have so much fun over the course of the year. Miss Lewis
