Willow Class have been learning about the Christian Creation story

14th May 2018

Willow class learned that the Bible says that God created the world. They learned that he worked hard for 6 days and then rested on the 7th day. We wondered about how God would rest. Everyone agreed that it would be hard work to make a whole world! The children worked very hard and created things to fill our own world. They made people, animals, fish, birds and speech bubbles to show the words that God said. The children thought about which parts of the world God would be proud of. We had lots of ideas. We decided that he was proud of everything he had created. We talked about how we feel when we work hard to make something. We said that it is important to show respect for things that others have worked hard to create. We began to understand that this is why it is important for us to care for our world. We will be thinking more about different ways we can care for our world in our RE lessons.
