The children in Willow class are working so hard to became wonderful readers helping them to live life in all its fullness. They have enjoyed learning different sounds and have been trying hard to blend these sounds to read a word. For example c-a-t cat! Today, groups of children enjoyed playing a blending game on the interactive board and it is lovely to see children starting to blend and read words! Reading is not only about phonics but also developing a love of reading and enjoying a range of books. The children like to access the reading corner to look at different books and enjoy listening to the story at the end of the day. This is a great way build children's imagination and vocabulary.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who continue to read with their child at home it really makes a difference.
