Wonderful writers in Maple class
18th Sep 2024
This week we have been focusing on our traditional tale of 'The three little pigs.' We looked at the story and had discussions on whether we thought the wolf was good or bad in the story. We decided that he was bad as he destroyed the houses and ate the first two pigs. He then tried to trick the third little pig but he was too clever to be caught by the wolf. We learnt a new word - adjective - a describing word or sometimes we call it an exciting word. We came up with some words we could use to describe the character of the wolf.
We have been demonstrating 'Life in all it's Fullness' this week with our fantastic writing. We have been labelling a picture of the wolf with adjectives. We have written simple sentences including our adjectives. We have been trying to remember all the things we need for a super sentence, capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. We must also remember to check and read our work back to make sure it makes sense. We decided that the wolf was so bad that we would make a wanted poster, so we could ensure he doesn't come into school creating chaos for us.
