Wonderful Writing!
Cedar class have been working hard to develop their writing skills. We are focusing on being able to independently spell cvc/cvcc words. Examples of these words are 'cat, 'bug', 'duck' and 'rain'. In order to do this the children have been practicing hearing each sound in a word and then making sure they are able to write it. It is also a skill that they are able to hear the digraph such as 'ai' in rain as this will make it easier for them. Mrs Andrews and I are very proud of how they are able to write captions and sentences without our help. Writing and reading go hand in hand and it makes a huge difference to their writing ability if you read with them at home!
