This week Fir class have been living 'Life in all its fullness' by celebrating World Book Day. We absolutely loved coming to school dressed as our favourite book character.
In the afternoon we listened to a story called 'The Witchling's Wish', which was all about a little witch who was feeling lonely so she cast a spell to make a friend. The children loved the story and then we took part in a carousel of activities which were all magical. We had a chance to write our own shopping lists for a spell, we loved thinking of disgusting ingredients. We also made a reading wand to help us track the words as we read our home reading books and exercised our fine motor skills by making a broomstick and a playdough magical pet to keep the witch company.
We finished the day by sharing some picture books with our friends. What a lovely day it has been!
