Writing in Blossom Class
We have had another fantastic week in Blossom class. The children have fully settled in now and are starting to follow our regular routines. They have continued exploring the classroom environment with curiosity and have enjoyed spending time outside, even when it is raining!
Our story this week has been 'The Colour Monster', this is a book which helps children to learn about their different emotions and how it might feel. The children have loved learning about the emotions happy, sad and angry. The emotions each have a coloured monster and the children have enjoyed learning about them through a sensory story each day.
When we talk about writing in Blossom class this can look like lots of different things. It can be improving our fine motor skills through threading, using our fingers to pick up small things like rice or making models in playdoh. It can also be making marks using different medias like fingers in foam, chalk on a chalk board, pencil on paper or using crayons. Finally it is also writing letters, assigning meaning to our marks, writing our names or writing simple sentences. It is wonderful to see the children achieving their best and showing us what they can do. Well done Blossom class, you really are living life in all its fullness.
