Living life in all its fullness in phonics, we have recently began following the Year 2 spelling rules. The first week we learned how to change the y to an i and add the suffix es to words such as spies and cries. This week, we are learning to add the suffix ing to words that end in y without changing the root word e.g spying and crying. We are really enjoying this new challenge and we are trying really hard to get good scores in our Friday spelling tests!
