Black History Month
Over the last half term, we have been studying the Significant Individual- Marcus Rashford and the incredible impact he had on children during the Covid Pandemic. We have learned about where Marcus is from (Fallowfied, Manchester) and how poor he was as a child. We have learned about his incredible football talent and how he rose to fame playing for Manchester United and the England Team. We learned that despite his fame, Marcus always remembered his roots. So, when children became hungry during the Covid Pandemic because schools were closed, he stepped in to help by organising food collections and writing a letter to the Government. We think he is a true hero!
