Caring For Our Environment In Evergreen!
16th Oct 2024
This week in Evergreen class we have been 'Living Life In All Its Fullness' thinking about the environment we live in. We have began a new book called The Nutsome Squirrel by Emily Hopkinson. This is a story about a clumsy and forgetful squirrel who can't remember where he had hidden his acorns and discovers a wonderful surprise in the end to see what he has helped to create. We went on a wonderful Autumn walk around the school after being inspired by the book to observe signs of Autumn. This encouraged us to think about the beautiful place we live and how we can protect it. We decided that we would recycle plastic bottles to make some bird and squirrel feeders. We knew this would help our planet by recycling and also help nature to be ready for the Winter.
