This week we have been living 'Life in all its Fullness' by learning all about Easter. Our topic in RE over the last few weeks has been, 'Is Easter happy or sad?'. We used our English lessons this week to find out about each day of Holy Week in more detail. On Monday we wrote a shared class acrostic poem all about Palm Sunday, on Tuesday we drew some pictures and wrote about some of the events that happened on Maundy Thursday, on Wednesday we learned about why the cross is so special to Christians and on Thursday we wrote a diary entry imagining that we were a disciple. We have really enjoyed learning about the events of Easter and had some really thoughtful ideas about which parts of Easter were happy and sad.
On Thursday afternoon we made some special Easter cards. Mrs Smith taught us how to use the special water colour paints to make a colourful pattern on our card. She had put some masking tape on each card in the shape of the cross and then we painted over it. The finished cards look so beautiful.
We also enjoyed singing our Easter songs all together with the rest of the school. We hope that you all have a lovely Easter holiday!
