The children in Cedar Class celebrated Eid this week. They enjoyed learning about the importance of the celebration for Muslims around the world and how they prepare for and celebrate Eid. It led to a wonderful discussion, lots of questions and comparisons to the Christian festivals we have celebrated.
The children used their maths skills to weigh and measure out the ingredients to make special cookies. The children were able to follow a simple recipe and sequence events. They enjoyed observing the process of change as they added the ingredients together and most importantly, they all enjoyed eating them.
