During our English lessons this term we have been reading "The Jolly Postman". This week the Jolly Postman had a letter for Cinderella! We couldn't believe it on Tuesday when she came into our class to tell us the exciting news she had received.
Cinderella told us that she would be having a special banquet because Prince Charming had written to her asking her to marry him! We shared our ideas with Cinderella about what we thought a banquet was and then listened as Cinderella shared with us what a banquet is like.
Cinderella explained that she needed our help to write some healthy menus for everyone. We asked Cinderella the types of foods she would like and later wrote a healthy menu for her which included a main meal, a fruit dessert and a drink.
The banquet was on Thursday afternoon and in preparation for it, we made our own crowns with repeating patterns on them. We also made some yummy fruit kebabs which we then ate during our special celebration.
