A great big thank you to all the parents from Beech Class who help their children to live life in all its fullness by reading at home with them daily. Reading is the most important skill you can help your child to learn. It enables them to access other areas of the curriculum such as word problems in Maths, the ability to write sentences in Writing lessons and to write poetry in R.E. for example. Children's books are changed weekly on Fridays. Please record when you've read with your child so that we can award your child with a certificate when their reading diary is full. Also, please remember that all of your home reading efforts not only help your child, but also those in need through our Jars Of Joy scheme!
