Keep Reading at Home!

At Holly Hill, our whole school reading incentive encourages children to read regularly at home. Each time they read, they earn a bead for their class reading jar. When the jar is full the children work together to choose a charitable prize! We also celebrate the fantastic achievement of completing a reading diary. Please continue to read with your child daily and sign their reading diary, so they can collect their bead.

Reading together builds strong bonds, supports wellbeing, and helps children develop empathy, confidence, and a love of stories. It also allows your child to 'Live Life in all it's Fullness'. A calm, quiet space makes reading time even more enjoyable. Thank you for your continued support in developing this lifelong habit, as every page makes a difference!
