In R.E we have been looking at Jesus and his special friends. This week we focused on the story of ‘Jonah and the Whale’. We discussed how God used the whale to help Jonah and the children conversed on why they thought animals are important to God. As a class we enjoyed looking at the difference the whale made and what would have happened if the whale was not part of the story. Jonah has taught us a valuable lesson in Nursery which also links to our current value 'love'. We have learnt that we must do what God asks of us because there is always a good reason behind it as he loves us. We had lots of fun hot seating the main characters of the story and asking them questions such as “how did you feel when you were in the whale’s belly?”.
