The children in Nursery have many varied opportunities to develop their writing skills. With dough disco and pincer grip work to develop the muscles needed to support writing. This week as part of our story adventure 'Whatever Next' the children have been deciding what they would like to take on a trip to the moon and then writing a list.
They have been practising their pencil control following the patterns left by the alien spaceships. We also use sand to support children's control. We have been getting them to make shapes and patterns in the sand. There are also pencils and paper freely available for the children to access when ever they want. They love the post it notes, writing little messages to each other and to the teachers also.
