This week the children have been learning how to subtract. They understand that when we subtract the number gets smaller. They have also been using their problem solving skills to find the missing number in a subtraction problem. This was a nice challenge for the children, they learnt transferable skills that they can apply in other areas of maths. This week the children focused on breaking down a problem into the 'first/then/now' sequence. Breaking the number problem down into smaller chunks allows the children to master the method they are using. Check them out living life in all its fullness below!
