This week in Willow class, we have been exploring maths in fun, hands-on ways to help us enjoy life in all its fullness.
Some of our learning was linked to the story: Kipper‘s birthday, which we have been reading in English. We loved getting involved in birthday themed activities, such as: making day birthday candles for Kipper’s cake counting them carefully, continuing cake patterns, finding missing numbers on cakes, exploring wholes and parts of numbers, and practising our number formation.
The children showed curiosity and joy, proving that maths is all around us even in birthday celebrations. Well done Willow class!
