Due to the warm weather and hot temperatures in school in the afternoon we will close to ALL pupils at 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Children are able to wear their PE kit everyday this week.
Today nursery had an exciting morning at Stringtime Live. Nursery got to see lots of different string instruments including a viola, a cello and a violin. The children were introduced to pitch, rhythm, dynamics and the texture of different sounds. The session was woven through the story of Monty the musician and Baltizar who casts spells on the King.
The children enjoyed every minute of it, joining in with actions and coming up to play the different instruments. On returning to nursery the children were excitedly chatting about the session telling adults who hadn't been there about the instruments and the sounds they make.
