Nursery Writing
This week in Nursery we have continued enjoying our story 'Handa's surprise'. The children were able to say and show on their fingers how many fruits Handa starts the story with, and they loved seeing the cheeky animals take the fruit without Handa knowing! To end the week, we explored some of the different fruits using our senses. On Thursday the children described what the fruit looked like and how the fruit felt. On Friday afternoon we then smelt and tasted the fruit! We really have been living life in all its fullness this week in Nursery.
Every day in Nursery the children find their name and trace it. They then attempt to write their name underneath. Throughout the day we have lots of opportunities for mark making and the children enjoy exploring these. This week we have used paint brushes and water on the walls outside, tracing paper to help us draw safari animals and our easel to help us with big movements. Well done Nursery!
