This week while living life in all its fullness, Cedar class have been learning some new digraphs! A digraph is two letters combined to make a single sound in written or spoken English. The digraph can consist of consonants and vowels. We have focused on the short and long 'oo' sound and the 'ar' sound. Some of the previous digraphs they have learnt are:

- qu- in 'queen' or 'quack'
- ck - as in 'pick' or 'sock'
- th - as in 'bath' or 'moth'
- ch - as in 'chick' or 'rich'
- sh - as in 'ship' or 'shop'
