Reading at Home!
4th Jun 2026
Cedar have been living 'Life in all its Fullness' this week with some amazing reading! Thank you to all of the parents who have taken time to listen to their child read, it really does make a huge difference!
Please remember to bring your reading book each day. If the book has been signed at home, then the children receive a reading bead for the jar. When the jar is full, we can make a donation to charity and have a special class treat. We change reading books every Thursday so please make sure that you bring them in on these days.
Before half term we sent out a list of apps that can help your child with their reading at home. Children love to play different phonics games and these apps can make learning to read really fun.
I have attached a few examples of amazing reading diaries that are regularly completed and some information about why reading at home is so important.
