Due to the warm weather and hot temperatures in school in the afternoon we will close to ALL pupils at 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Children are able to wear their PE kit everyday this week.
Year 2 have been focussing on Winter’s Child by Angela McAllister in English this week. The children looked closely at one of the many astounding illustrations from the text and thought of noun phrases to describe what they could see. Then, using our other senses, we planned a setting description imagining what it would really like to be there (we listened to sounds, felt objects in feely bags and smelled real flowers to help us!). Finally, we put all of these ideas to create sensational settIng descriptions. We hope you enjoy reading them...
