Oracy is an important skill and in reception we have lots of opportunities for children to express themselves. A lovely example of this was today when we explored the changing seasons and what happens during spring. The children enjoyed watching a video and sharing their thoughts on what they could see. They then went out on a spring walk and worked in teams to find the different objects on the list. They loved looking for insects and flowers and especially enjoyed talking about the duck and her nest that has appeared in the courtyard! It was wonderful seeing the children work together in teams!
