Stephen Hawking and Space!
16th Jun 2022
This term, we have been learning all about our new courageous advocate, Stephen Hawking. We have learned about his life and the amazing discoveries he made in the world of science, despite his paralysing Motor Neurone Disease. We have learned that we can all find something that we can be amazing at, no matter where we come from or whatever obstacles come our way.
We have recently begun to learn more about space. We have learned that th first animal to travel in space was a dog called Laika!
To further explore our space topic, we will be making rockets using bottles next week. If you could please ensure your child has a clear plastic bottle, either 500ml or 1L, that would be perfect!
Take a look at some of our work!
We are also very excited for our trip to the Think Tank next Tuesday - lunch and drinks will be provided by school and your child needs to wear sensible shoes.
