We love our Supersonic Phonics! Twice a day, we work with Listening Len, Segmenting Seb, Building Bill, Reading Rex, Writing Ron, Cheeky Sneaky Sid, Tricky Tess and Nonsense Nan.
This week we have been introduced to a new character, Choose to Use Suze. We have been learning alternative spellings for sounds we already know. The spelling of the word can completely change what the word means!
We have learned the spellings: ay for ai, ie for igh, oe for oa, and ue for oo, which come at the end of the word instead of in the middle, and ea for ee, which usually comes in the middle and changes the meaning of the word!
Our phonics are very important, as they help us to read and write. They help us to make amazing pieces of writing like this one!
