Sustainability Week in Beech Class
1st May 2025
This week, Beech Class have been 'Living Life in all its Fullness' by taking part in Sustainability Week. We have been learning about what it means to be sustainable and how we can live more sustainably. In our English lessons, each of the children wrote a speech about why they would make a good 'Eco Warrior' and then gave their speech to the rest of the class. The children then voted for the two people who they think gave the best speech. Well done to Isabella and Declan who will be our class Eco Warriors!
During the afternoon, we learned some facts about minibeasts and why they are so important. We then designed and made our own 'Bug Hotels' using recycling from home and natural resources from our Forest School.
We are going to end the week tomorrow by planting some tomato seeds and going to visit our new class vegetable patch at the top of the field.
