This week, the children have enjoyed continuing with the story The Three Little Pigs. They had a go at drawing the pigs, hearing the initial sound in pig and writing the letter p. The children have come so far with their writing this year and it has been wonderful to see their confidence grow. We are so proud of the beautiful name writing and the amazing progress many children are making with their mark making and early writing skills.
In Maths, the children used tweezers to count out pom-poms onto pigs, developing their counting skills, one-to-one correspondence and number recognition in a fun and engaging way.
The children have also been thinking about pets and how we can look after them. They enjoyed learning all about vets and how they help animals when they are poorly, before having lots of fun role-playing in our veterinary surgery.
