We love to read!

In Fir Class, we are always living life in all its fullness as we learn to use our phonics to read and explore new stories. 

We love opportunities to choose books from our under the sea book corner, and look at our Bibles. We get to listen to stories every day and we have been loving the traditional tales of Goldilocks and Hansel and Gretel during Big Book time as we read The Jolly Postman in English.

Please keep reading our books with us at home, writing in our reading diaries and sending our reading folders to school each day. Every time we read at home we are rewarded in school and we get better every day! Practising our reading also helps us become better writers and speakers, especially when we look back on our written work!
