It has been a great World Book Day in Fir Class today. It was great to see all of the amazing costumes, well done to all!
We started our day by talking about the characters we had chosen to replicate. We then had a fantastic visit from an amazing author where we got to look at his books and visualise one of the characters from his texts.
We then explored the text ‘Don’t Call Me Sweet’ which is all about a friendly monster. We took parts of the text and focused on the adjectives used to describe the character. We then visualised what we thought was happening throughout the text by looking at focus words.
We have had a great World Book Day!
