This week, in Willow class, we have been reading and reciting lots of different poems. Our favourite poem is one we use to help warm up our fingers before handwriting. It is called 'Ten Fat Peas'. The children love to do the actions, especially the 'pop' at the end! See the video below for proof!
We also enjoyed poems from the book 'A Great Big Cuddle: Poems for the very young' written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Chris Riddell. The poems are designed to make the children giggle and wiggle and the illustrations are fabulous! Our favourite is called 'Oh Dear' and is about a little boy who goes to the shop and keeps getting given the wrong things! Well done Willow class, you really have been living life in all its fullness.
