We are continuing our daily phonics lessons in Willow class and the children are still loving them! We are consolidating the sounds we have already learnt in basics 2 and 3 which is helping to make them more confident, and they are all much stronger readers because of it! Please keep reading every day at home, it really does help!
The children’s excellent phonics knowledge is also showing in their writing and the class are becoming super writers. In English this week we have been thinking back to our trip last week and writing about what we did. During choosing time, some children also chose to write independently about our pond dipping experience and in the creative area we drew grasshoppers just like the ones we caught in the meadow! Well done Willow class, you really are living life in all its fullness.
