Due to the warm weather and hot temperatures in school in the afternoon we will close to ALL pupils at 1pm on Thursday. Children are able to wear their PE kit everyday this week.
On World Book Day, Willow class had lots of fun dressing up as our favourite book characters. We made book marks and had a lovely time drawing our favourite characters and also did some drawings of Miss Tullett as pink crayon too!.
The author Billy Bob Buttons made an appearance in class in the morning to read us some of his stories and talk about his other books. The children really enjoyed listening to him and were able to tell Billy all about his book “Why Monsters Drool” that we had been reading in class this week.
In the afternoon all the children had a chance to come and stand at the front of the class to tell everyone who they had come dressed as and the story they were from. They also had a chance to show us a book if they had brought one in and discuss what they loved about their character – what a lovely day!
Also a great big thank you to our super parents for dressing your children so amazingly, well done!
