Due to the warm weather and hot temperatures in school in the afternoon we will close to ALL pupils at 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Children are able to wear their PE kit everyday this week.
Over the last three weeks we have been looking at the story of 'The Jolly Postman and Other People's Letters.' We have focused on the different characters that appear in the story and how they link to their own fairy tale. This week, we have focused on Cinderella and the Big Bad Wolf. At the beginning of the week we focused on Cinderella and how she felt at different points in her story. Then we wrote her diary using our emotion words. Next, we focused on the wolf. We discussed whether he had shown our value of honesty this week, and we decided no but tried to help him to make things right again. We decided he could write a letter to Grandma, Little Red Riding Hood or the Pigs. We orally rehearsed our letters by talking to our talk partners before writing them the next day. We have ended our week by making character puppets before retelling the story with our talk partners. We really have been 'Living Life in all its Fullness' this week.
