WOW!
What a wonderful day we have had today!
We loved dressing up as our favourite book characters and sharing our favourite books.
We were very lucky this morning to meet the author, Billy Bob Buttons, who shared how to be a great author with us and one of his stories. We loved the drawing challenge he set all of Year 1 and Eviee won the prize! Well done Eviee!
This afternoon we enjoyed visualising what a character from a text looks like by spotting the key information and seeing, in our mind, what the character looks like.
Then we had a chance to make our own bookmark, that we will use in our new home reading books, with a picture of our favourite book character on.
At the end of the day we enjoyed stories read to us by Mrs Thurman, Mrs Blaber and Miss Powell.
