Wow! What a wonderful day Year One have had on their trip to St John's Church. We really have been 'Living Life in all it's Fullness' by celebrating the birth of Jesus during our day out. Everyone took part in the day, some of us helped to create the advent wreath, some were actors, some played musical instruments and some of us lit candles. During the day we retold the story of the very First Christmas. We walked around different parts of the church pretending to be on the long journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem, it was such a long way we laid down for a rest. When we arrived in Bethlehem there was nowhere to stay but the third innkeeper showed us to a stable. Then we saw the shepherds and the wise men arrive and we talked about their gifts for baby Jesus. In the afternoon we played the jelly bean game, created some beautiful angels and did some singing and dancing with sparkly scarfs. We have had such a fabulous time and some of us said we can't wait to go back to the church again next year when we are in Year2!
