The children are living life in all its fullness and enjoying their supersonic phonics journey. They have learnt all phase 2 sounds which are, s,a,t,p,i,n,d,o,c,ck,e,u,r,h,b,f,l,ll,ff,ss and have begun phase 3 during this phase the children have focused a lot on digraphs which mean 2 letters that make one sound such as sh,ch,th, ai,ee. The children are now at the stage where they are beginning to blend the sounds to read simple captions such as 'the cat on a mat' and are writing CVC words such as mat,sad,pat,mud,pin . As we go on this journey the children will start to write simple captions by hearing the sounds in the words. Have a look at some of the fun activities the children have been up to.
